We are delighted to announce the grant of a United States Patent (US 12,391,843 B2) for our breakthrough technology solution in carbon-based conducting inks.

The patented technology covers graphene nano-particulate based liquid ink compositions that deliver exceptional electrical conductivity while being printable on recyclable and compostable substrates such as paper. This innovation further paves the way for a new generation of sustainable, metal-free electronic applications, all available for licensing, including RFID tags, sensors, and flexible electronics.

“The granting of this patent in the US represents another big development in our growing patent portfolio, demonstrating the scalability and commercial market potential of our carbon nanomaterial platform,” said John Lee, CEO. “With the ability to print highly conductive films on everyday substrates, our inks offer exciting opportunities for sustainable electronics and next-generation smart packaging. We continue to develop these materials with major industry players seeking cheap and sustainable alternatives to metal based electronics, while addressing the key requirements of scale.”

The patent, filed internationally under PCT/EP2021/055458 and now granted by the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office, reinforces AMD’s strong intellectual property portfolio and underpins ongoing collaborations with industry partners in packaging, IoT, and advanced sensing.
